Bad news day

Hi, we went to Nicosia this morning to visit the Philippine Consulate in order to get Celeste’s Certificate authenticated, but it has to be done in the Philippines, so the wedding has to be postponed again  for the second time. It is the first time we have heard of this Red Ribbon Authentication, the certificate she has was accepted by the registrar in Scotland, so why not in Cyprus?

We are both very upset, but we are now determined to enjoy our time on holiday, then we will make more plans, we will be married sometime.

Thanks for dropping in, take care.

  1. The laws sound like they are very complicated. You would think in the age of rapid communications that one could fax a document where needed, get the proper authorization and then have it faxed back. I can imagine your upset. I hope you both enjoy the time together anyway. It looks like an interesting place to visit.

  2. Oh, this is very sad indeed 😦 I can imagine it gets very challenging and frustrating (regarding all the red-tape) with international marriages. What a bummer! I hope you can both enjoy your holiday in spite of it, and keep thinking positive. Sending warm wishes 🙂
