Bouncing back

Hi, bit of a con in the headline today, I went out in the frost yesterday morning to snap some photos, I seem to think that I can go through what I did last week and bounce straight back, think again Ian! I am still feeling very weak and my breathing is never very good in frosty weather, when will I learn?

See what you think of the results, thanks for dropping in, take care.

  1. We appreciate the photos but you need to recuperate & heal! The second & last photo look like paintings-did you use a special effect on them? Very cool. The early morning blue & misty air is very pretty & calming.

      1. There’s a “poster” function on my point & shoot that I use once in a while when I see a sky with so many blues, I should explore the other features on the camera!

      2. I use the manual setting on my camera most of the time, but the other functions are there to be used too, it is all part of the fun of taking photos. πŸ™‚

      3. I rely a little too much on one particular setting but I’ve been using the manual setting a lot lately and hardly using auto and you’re right it’s the fun! I love testing out if I’ve got the right aperture or white balance myself.

  2. Hi there! I am just catching up after a while away. I missed your whole Cyprus trip. Just wanted to say that I’m very sorry that things didn’t work out. Unnecessary bureaucracy is cruel and stupid. Best wishes that everything works out for you and Celeste, and sooner rather than later.

    1. Sorry for late reply, hope your absence was for nice reasons, not an illness or anything like that? We just have to take the knockbacks in our stride and get more determined to overcome the powers that be in the future. Thanks for the lovely sentiments πŸ™‚

  3. I like the greyness – You can feel the cold! I used to wrap a scarf round my mouth and nose, to warm the air up before it went in my lungs. Def helped. You prob do this already!
It is good to get out, though. πŸ™‚

    1. Your suggestion about the scarf is very sensible, but any restriction of air into my mouth causes problems, just can’t wear a scarf. There is also the fact I never do anything sensible lol πŸ™‚

      1. oh – I never thought of that, but I get it. I can’t have anything touching the front of my neck.
Tricky – cos you are heading for winter! You’ll have to time your forays out for photographs πŸ™‚
