Armistice Day

Hi, on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918 the First World War, or Great War, came to an end. Today there will be a two minutes silence at 11am to remember the people who gave their lives and all the military personnel who have given their lives in conflicts since.

Thanks for dropping in, take care.

Field guns signal start of wreath laying

A large crowd attended

I left before the wreath laying for two reasons, the first was the frost was making my breathing difficult, the second was the parade was organised in a different way, it was too tightly formed to get in for photographing the proceedings.
